I love the contrast of the very green moss and the colors of autumn in this shot. God does such pretty work!

Like stained glass on wings, the Monarch butterfly is as beautiful to gaze upon as it sits sipping nectar from a flower as it is in flight.

Here in central Oklahoma, the colors are just beginning to change. I love fall for all it offers, especially the colors.
Over the last few days, I have taken images around my yard and at a nearby pumpkin patch. I will be post a couple each day; I also wanted to show off my newest software, the NIK Collection, which is AWESOME! It has definitely made my life easier (if not more time consuming) in the area of photo editing.

A Red Maple during a light rain. This is a straight shot using my D800 and editing in Photoshop. I further edited it in Viveza 2, part of the NIK software collection.

This is the same as the first shot, but I took it into HDR Efex Pro 2 to give it more attention. I’m loving this software.
Happy Fall Y’all

I get a brand new camera, a new flash, a couple of lenses, a new tripod and what do I do? Go out a take photos with my phone, what else?
The truth is, with all this new equipment, I still don’t have anything to take macro shots with, and well, I love macro. Especially when it comes to all the bright colors that fall has to offer.
However, in my neck of the woods, the leaves are just beginning to turn (I have one in my yard – that is ONE leaf). But after this weekends dip into the 30s perhaps the colors will prevail. But I did just plant a plethora of pansies all with pretty faces and colors. This would have been a great for the saturation photo challenge!
So without further ado:
Have a great rest of the week!
